Two members of our LMWP Technology Team had the privilege of joining Teacher Consultants from writing project sites around the country as we worked together on creating resources for our local sites and the larger network as a whole.  Amanda Cornwell and Melissa VanKlompenburg embarked on this journey with the plan of drafting a case study of our site's voyage through the ups and downs of creating a web presence that fellows find invaluable to their teaching and writing lives.  With the weekend behind them, the two accomplished a great deal with much work remaining. 

We planned, we traveled, we arrived

with countless ideas.
Quickly,

we realized that our project

was larger than it
seemed at first glance.

We reveled

in thought-provoking work,

in discussion, discovery, and distance

~ breaks from the rigor of intense learning.

We explored,

the possibilities and the uncertain landscape

that surrounded us

both physically and metaphorically.

We gazed in awe.

We savored the splendor

of shadow giving way to glorious light.

We marveled at coexistence

~ sun and moon ~

in the same morning sky.

We embraced the challenge

and forged ahead, encouraged

by the certain satisfaction that lie beyond.

We stopped, wary, and witnessed the horizon.

Catching a glimpse

of what will ultimately be our view.

We descended the mountain changed.
